Several Singapore non-governmental organisations (NGOs) submitted either individual or joint reports towards the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in early November 2010. This public forum hosted by Singaporeans For Democracy (SFD) brings together some of these UPR stakeholders for a public discussion.

It is an opportunity to share with members of the public some of the experiences, issues and challenges for Singapore civil society working together in this first ever UPR process. The forum also hopes to provide the impetus to strategise how Singaporean civil society can respond to the government’s UPR report later in 2011.

The event is additionally billed as an end of the year get together for civil society groups to meet and network with each other and members of the public.

All are welcome.
