A NTU Masters student is conducting an Internet survey on ”Internet Users’ Perceptions of Socio-Political Blog Credibility in Singapore”.

人力部表示,自去年12月开始实施外籍员工租户查询服务(FWTES),至今接获近500起有关外劳盗用私人住址的投报。 外籍员工租户查询服务,提供我国人民查询外籍員工租户名字与人数。 根据各家媒体报道,部分雇主会故意填写假地址,藉此规避外劳超住,或居住在未经批准的工厂的行为。 另一方面,部分外劳想规避超住或非法定居问题,也会故意提供假地址给雇主。 “所有的涉嫌提供假地址的雇主与员工将会接受调查,” 人力部表示。截至4月24日,已有共19名雇主以未能有效监管员工住所,提供假地址为由被起诉,并处以罚款。 人力部也以教唆雇主提供假地址为由,撤回13名员工的工作许可证,另禁止在新加坡工作。 近3年来,逾2000名雇主与1000名外籍员工因提供假地址而被人力部取缔。 人力部强调,雇主有责任监管员工的住所,就算是员工自觅居所,也必须核实员工地址是否符合当局条例。其中也提到,核实员工即指查访员工住所以及检查租屋契约。 人力部希望通过外籍劳工租户查询服务,鼓励屋主举报外劳住宿违例行为。在这之前,屋主必须填写白纸黑字表格,才能举报这些违例行为。 人力部也回应,会增添短信和电邮通知功能,一旦有外劳申请入住,屋主可即时收到通知。若屋主不想继续出租给外劳,也可申请取消。 该项服务预计会在今年底正式推出。…
