Heavy rain which occurred in the afternoon has caused flash flood in several areas in central Singapore, including Orchard Road on Wednesday (8 February).
Singapore’s National Water Agency PUB tweeted at 5.56pm that there was flash floods at Orchard Boulevard towards Paterson Road, noting that the traffic was still passable.

At 6.02pm, Hill street or Stamford Road also experienced flash floods, though the traffic was still passable.

It also tweeted earlier that Veerasamy Road in Little India, Exeter Road and Somerset Road, and Chin Bee Avenue in Taman Jurong are among areas with high flood risks.
PUB also re-announced National Environment Agency (NEA)’s alert at 5.04pm that there was going to be heavy rain expected over many areas of the country from 5.25pm to 6.30pm.
