Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was discharged from Singapore General Hospital this morning.
Mr Lee was earlier admitted to the hospital to undergo surgery on Monday to remove his prostate gland after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in January this year.
Professor Christopher Cheng, Mr Lee’s surgeon, said: “PM’s pathology report is good. The disease is small but potentially significant. We are very glad we were able to detect and remove it in time. PM should make a full recovery.”
In statement by the Prime Minister Office, Mr Lee thanks the competent, dedicated and compassionate team of radiologists, pathologists, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and everyone else who have treated him and helped see him through the operation.
