The beginning of May will be greeted with Jane’s Walk, a series of free walking tours around Singapore. Named after urban activist and writer Jane Jacobs, Jane’s Walk invites people who live in Singapore to celebrate our walkable city, explore our neighbourhoods, discover our rich and diverse heritage and carry a live conversation with people who share a passion for the city we live in. Be a tourist in your own city, so to speak!
These free walking tours have grown from four walks in 2013, to 10 in this second run. The walks are organised and powered solely by volunteers, who have a passion for culture and knowledge, and a deep love for our lion city.
Here is some of the walks you can participate in with your family and friends. To view all ten walks and to sign up, visit Jane’s Walk main page at http://janeswalk.org/singapore/singapore/
